“Golden-hued in color, the wine opens with opulent aromas of peach, apple, Meyer lemon and baking spices. The palate is an inviting medley of peach and D’Anjou pear; layered with tropical notes of pineapple and banana. The vibrant acidity is well balanced by warm butterscotch and subtle coconut notes that seamlessly meld together to create a luscious, mouth-filling richness. It is medium to full-bodied with a refreshing burst of minerality and well-integrated oak characteristics that offer a round, lengthy finish.” – Charlie Wagner
Enjoy with grilled grouper, pasta with chicken, or roast pork.
Third Party Reviews
Some wines are so good at working the upscale wine-drinking crowd. The 2014 Mer Soleil Reserve Santa Barbara County Chardonnay offers pure imbibing pleasure. It shows enticing cream and attractive ripe apples and peaches in the nose. On the palate, the wine’s silkiness makes it easy to enjoy. Ready now, one could pair this one with Dungeness crab with drawn butter. Drinks very well now. Score 91, www.wine.com, July 2016
